I would describe myself as a generalist in that I enjoy chronic disease management, acute care, and prevention of health-related problems. My interest is in listening to patients, meeting patients where they are and addressing their priorities. At the same time, I like to look for opportunities to bring attention to health risks and prevention strategies that patients might not yet be thinking about. I do my best to frame all my medical decision making through the lens of evidence based care. To me this means limiting interventions unless we have proven evidence that it is safe and beneficial.
I enjoy working at Mosaic because Mosaic supports me in my desire to take care of any and all patients, and take care of the entire patient. At Mosaic I have the opportunity to partner with a Nursing Case Manager, Behavioral Health Consultant, Pharmacist, Dentist, Nutritionist, and Community Health Worker to make sure that every patient gets the care they deserve. Additionally, Mosaic provides behind the scenes support to help with referrals, medical records and computer support so that I can invest more time doing what I want to do – which is spend time with patients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in community events, outdoor activities and other things that Central Oregon has to offer.
