What’s Changing

You may have heard that Oregon Health Plan (OHP) rules are changing. If that feels confusing or a little worrying, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Mosaic Community Health’s Enrollment team gives free, personal help to anyone in Central Oregon, no matter where you get your care.

  • Starting Jan. 1, 2027, some adults ages 19–64 will need to show they’re working, in school, volunteering or doing another qualifying activity for at least 80 hours a month, unless they qualify for an exception (for example, if they’re pregnant, have a disability or have Medicare).
  • OHP renewals are happening more often for many people.
  • Some OHP members will move to Open Card beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

Got a Letter From the State? Here’s What to Do

  • Don’t worry. Getting a letter does not automatically mean you’re losing coverage.
  • Read it when you can, but you don’t need to understand every word.
  • Call us. Have the letter nearby if you can, but it’s OK to call even without it.
  • We’ll help you figure out what to do next. We can explain what the letter means for you and help with any next steps, for free.

Questions about a letter? Call (541) 647-2717.

Get Free Help From Mosaic

  • Call our bilingual Enrollment line: (541) 647-2717
  • Need a ride or facing another barrier to getting help? Mosaic patients can get help from our Community Health Worker team to coordinate transportation and other support.

This help is free and available to everyone in the community. You do not need to be a current Mosaic patient.

If You No Longer Qualify for OHP

If it turns out you no longer qualify for OHP, you still have options. Losing OHP may allow you to enroll in other health coverage outside the regular Open Enrollment period. Mosaic’s Enrollment team can help you understand your options, find out whether financial help is available and apply for coverage. Call (541) 647-2717 for free enrollment help.

Do you need a primary care provider?

Does this mean I'm losing my coverage?

Not necessarily. Most people who get a letter simply need to confirm their information or renew as usual. Call us and we can look at your specific situation.

What do I need to do right now?

Watch for mail from the state and keep your contact information up to date. If you get a letter and have questions, call us.

I saw something online that worried me. Is it true?

There’s a lot of confusing and sometimes inaccurate information circulating right now. Rather than guessing, call us for an answer based on your actual situation.

Can I get help in Spanish?

Yes. Our team offers help in Spanish. Call (541) 647-2717.
